Swimming lessons are offered to all skill levels and all ages.
Space is limited and registration is accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis for Milford residents and non-Milford residents.
Registration will now take place online and courses are offered at various times throughout the calendar year. Please click here to be directed to our online registration page.
* For ages 6 and older (Levels 1-6):
- Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills: Students will learn how to feel comfortable in the water and safely enjoy it.
- Level 2: Fundamentals of Aquatic Skills: Children will learn basic swimming skills.
- Level 3: Stroke Development: Additional guided practice will help students improve their skills.
- Level 4: Stroke Improvement: Kids will gain confidence during swim lessons, improve their stroke and gain additional aquatic skills.
- Level 5: Stroke Refinement: Guidance allows kids to refine their strokes and become more efficient swimmers.
- Level 6: Swimming and Skill Proficiency: Students will learn to swim with ease and efficiency, and gain the ability to swim smoothly over greater distances. Swimmers will also have the option to participate in more advanced courses.”
About our Lessons
* Late registration will be accepted if space is available. Preference will be given to Milford Residents. There are no discounts or pro-rated payments.
* All lessons are given by American Red Cross certified lifeguards under the supervision of the pool manager.
* Students are grouped according to their age and skill level.
* Students will be evaluated to determine or confirm skill level
* Students should bring their own towels.
* Parents are asked to wait outside the pool area during lessons
* Parents may watch from the grandstand area on designated observation days.
